Draft 7

Above is the seventh draft of our music video. There is a lot more split screen involved within this draft. However, we feel we really need to get an ending sorted for our music video. After asking different people their views on how we could end the video, the general feedback was that it needed to be something bold and shocking for the audience.

When people were watching our music video, people had all different interpretations of what we were trying to portray. Some thought the two characters had been in a relationship that had failed, some believed she was an obsessive ex girlfriend, and others thought that the boys career was getting in the way of the relationship. We realised we had incorporated a media theorists theory within our music video. This theory being Barthes Enigma Code.

Eventually we decided on painting the lyrics onto Charlotte and having her rub them away off of her body. We got inspiration from our audience feedback and also an existing video by Marina and the Diamonds for 'I am not a robot'.
